↟ CADENCE IS A DIGITAL PUBLICATION
DEDICATED TO THE VIBRANT INTERSECTION
OF ULTRA-DISTANCE CULTURE AND THE ART
OF ENDURANCE.
↟ Cadence is a digital publication dedicated to the vibrant intersection of ultra-
distance culture. We go beyond performance metrics and competition to discover
the spirit and beauty embodied in extreme sports and outdoor activities. With a
collective of athletes, writers, photographers and movement advocates, Cadence is a
creative collaboration that illuminates the stories and images that capture the unique
pulse of life.
Drawing on a roster of passionate collaborators, Cadence presents powerful
narratives and evocative photographs, putting human stories front and center.
Through engaging reportage, insightful essays and visual narratives that span
photography, film and emerging media. Here, each story celebrates the emotion,
resilience and natural beauty of endurance culture - unfiltered, expressive and
unapologetically real.

Miron is no stranger to long distance racing in the US. In 2022 Miron set a new
record on the Baja Divide route. In 2023 he won the Colorado Trail Race, nursing a
broken hand. Then in 2023 and 2024, Miron completed back-to-back wins on the
Iditarod Trail in Alaska, a winter ultra like no other which stretches for 1000 miles
across some of the most inhospitable trails on earth.

Starting near the cold shores of the North Atlantic, scholars of cycling will hear
the rhyme of history as the Race rumbles over the cobblestones of Western
Europe, and crunches the gravel of the Balkans, before TCRNo10 becomes the
first edition of the Transcontinental to not just cross Europe, but leave it.

It's not just another ultramarathon. It's a long journey between the highest point
in mainland Portugal and the Atlantic Ocean, in this case to Nazaré. A journey of
amazement, of encounter, of contact with traditions, but also of faith without the
need to be a believer. It will be a very special time. Crossing a country, in this case
Portugal, from east to west is guaranteed to be a huge journey and an
exceptional and unique experience.

On a damp winter morning in Stockholm, the kind where the sky hangs gray and
the snow mixes with slush, skiing might not seem like the obvious choice. Yet for
many, this is exactly the appeal of Nordic skiing. It’s not about perfect conditions
or vast alpine landscapes—it’s about finding rhythm and resilience, even when
the weather is less than ideal.
