Terms of Service

By using Cadence you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the platform.

A trading journal and performance analytics platform. Cadence is NOT financial advice, trading signals, or a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument.

Nothing in Cadence constitutes financial, investment, or trading advice. All trading decisions are yours alone. Past performance patterns shown in the app do not predict future results. Cadence is an analytical and journaling tool, not a financial advisor. Correlations and insights surfaced by the pattern detection engine are observational, not prescriptive.

Health data from wearables is displayed for self-awareness purposes only. Cadence does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice. Correlations between health metrics and trading performance are informational and observational, not medical recommendations.

We are not a covered entity under HIPAA. We strongly recommend consulting healthcare professionals for any health-related decisions. Health data displayed in the app should not be used as a substitute for professional medical judgment.

You’re responsible for your account security. One account per person. Don’t share credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use Cadence.

You own your data. We don’t claim ownership of your journal entries, trade records, or health data. You grant us a license to store and process it solely to provide the service to you.

You agree NOT to:

• Share your account with multiple people
• Scrape or bulk export other users’ data from The Pit, Feed, or buddy features
• Upload fraudulent trade data to manipulate leaderboards, challenges, or comparisons
• Use the platform to deceive other users (fake P&L, fake streaks, fake performance)
• Attempt to reverse engineer the pattern detection engine, comparison algorithms, or any proprietary features
• Abuse the wearable integration to access someone else’s health data
• Use the buddy, pod, or Pit system to harass, bully, or pressure other traders
• Circumvent subscription tiers or payment systems
• Use automated bots or scripts to access the platform without permission
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the platform
• Introduce viruses, malware, or any malicious code
• Use the platform for any illegal activity
• Use any data from the platform for advertising or marketing purposes

When you connect a wearable device, you authorize Cadence to access the data types you’ve approved. You can revoke this at any time in Settings. Disconnecting a wearable immediately deletes all data from that provider. We comply with all API terms and developer agreements of our wearable partners (Oura, Whoop, Apple HealthKit, Garmin).

We aim for high uptime but don’t guarantee 100% availability. The service may have downtime for maintenance or updates. We are not liable for any losses resulting from downtime.

Cadence is provided “as is.” We are not liable for trading losses, missed trades, incorrect analytics, data loss, health data inaccuracies, or any damages arising from use of the platform. You trade at your own risk. Pattern detection insights are generated from your data using statistical analysis and may contain errors or incomplete patterns.

Pricing and billing terms will be published when payment is active. Cancellation stops future billing. Refund policy to be determined. During beta, the service is free.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before suspension. You can cancel your account anytime. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

The Cadence platform, including its design, code, pattern detection algorithms, and features, is our intellectual property. Your data remains yours. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform.

You agree to indemnify Cadence against any claims arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these terms, or your trading activities.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
